It's a light Ashland University athletics docket on Thanksgiving week, but there's plenty of importance.

Eagle volleyball will find out its NCAA Division II postseason fate, while the AU women's and men's basketball teams continue their early 2016-17 action.

VOLLEYBALL (LINK)  – The Eagles (23-10) will watch the 2016 NCAA Division II postseason selection show on Monday (Nov. 21) at 7:30 p.m. on NCAA.com to find out their playoff fate. The Eagles were No. 6 in the third and final set of Midwest Regional rankings, and eight teams in each region go on to the postseason.

Ashland is looking to qualify for the playoffs for the seventh time, and the first time since 2013.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (LINK) – No. 5-ranked Ashland (3-0) will go on the road for the first time in 2016-17 on Wednesday (Nov. 23) at 5 p.m. at Gannon (1-4). The Eagles then will return home for the 2016 Holiday Inn Express Tournament on Saturday (Nov. 26) at 1 p.m. against Slippery Rock (3-1) and Sunday (Nov. 27) at 3 p.m. vs. Mercyhurst (4-0) to complete three games in five days against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division foes.

ONE TO WATCH: Junior forward Andi Daugherty (984) needs 16 points to become the program's 19th player in the 1,000-point club.

MEN'S BASKETBALL (LINK) – The Eagles (3-1) will play their second consecutive non-conference home game and finish their pre-Thanksgiving schedule on Tuesday (Nov. 22) at 7:30 p.m. against California, Pa. (2-3). Ashland has won 26 straight non-GLIAC games at Kates Gymnasium going back to the start of the 2009-10 season.

ONE TO WATCH: Senior guard Adrian Cook is averaging 13.5 points per game while shooting 70 percent from the field and 81.8 percent from the free-throw line.
